Tell People Why They Should Care
Often, I feel a deep, deep sadness inside; frustration, anger converted into depression for the way the World is, (and always will be?) Trust, broken.
Rape, war, poverty, Climate Change, racism, sexism, abuse, murder…
Why? Just Why? There may be reasons but there’s no excuses. We’re supposed to be evolved creatures, yet so many folk are, no, not animals, they behave better, so many folk behave like things, a separate species of evil being, no conscience.
Ignorance and apathy, because people don’t know why they should care.
How do we change it all?
I saw a meme on Social Media, it said “You will change the World just by being a warm, kind-hearted person.” I so want to believe in that.
I try, I try SO freakin’ hard to “be kind”. Sometimes it’s not easy though, the anger creeps up on me, and I just want to scream and shout, and oh, I don’t know…
But then
Someone I love listens to my rants, calmly in the knowledge it’s not them
I’m angry with, it’s those “others” who ruin life and The Planet for the rest of us, I’m angry at.
And then
I realise, it’s not just in the movies that goodness and kindness always win in the end.
And then
I realise my loved ones care, so do many others, the vast majority of folk care, when they know why they should care. So, tell them why, show them the statistics, and show them the love they need too.
And then…
