5 Haiku

cradle songs
on the drive home…
my empty womb

*

my mother’s
knitted sweaters-
I unravel knots

*

tears-
water raining into
an empty cup

*

drifting snowflakes-
I restore the fragile lace
of my wedding veil

*

encounters-
his world is shaped
by her pirouettes
