Lions in Translation
We, at the International Lion Translation Centre, do not
believe: If a lion could speak we would not understand him.
Through our outreach programme our dedicated
team of translators, at considerable personal risk,
have found equivalent expressions for roars, growls and
leonine throat singing within our own semantic register.
Colin Pink has published two collections of poems: Acrobats of Sound, 2016, available from Poetry Salzburg Press, and a collection of 21 villanelles with 21 woodcuts by Daniel Goodwin called The Ventriloquist Dummy’s Lament, 2019 available from Against the Grain press.
