You are invited to come and listen to some of Grant’s poet friends read from the mighty ‘dog’ which is published posthumously by Gatehouse Press. The event will take place on zoom, on 8th March at 7.30pm.
It is clearly so sad that Grant will not be there to launch this collection, but we all hope we can celebrate what Grant left behind for us. He was excited about the book and saw the publication-ready PDF a few weeks before he died.
Book Launch:
There will be readings from: Adam Horovitz, Bethany W Pope, Antony R Owen, Andy Jackson, George Szirtes, Kate Garret, Daniel Sluman, Rishi Dastidar. The event will be hosted by Helen Ivory, Martin Figura and Andrew McDonnell of Gatehouse Press.
Memorial, Celebration:
In the second half of the event, there will be an opportunity for Grant’s community to gather together and share memories and thoughts about our much missed friend. Grant was talented, exuberant, irreverent, funny, off-kilter and wise. All of this comes through in dog which he referred to as his ‘cloven woof’.
