Grain of Sand

I grew out of a grain of sand.
My legs were small, but I
could walk great distances
because my stamina was
incredible. My heart was
too big for my body.  It made me
lean like a thin tree with
heavy branches. When it
rained I would turn to mud.
My steps grew heavy and
I could not get too far.  I was
washed away to the ocean.
The fish ate me and no one
seemed to miss me.  It was
like I was never born.
