Pursuit, Dublin
My destroying angel has the genitals
of a man and a fickle heart.
On Grafton Street the shoppers
absorb him without a shriek.
Laceless shoes, ringless fingers—
nothing to slow my gait,
though if he’s manly, he’s a fair wind—
I erode by grains.
