The Little Girl and the Universe

A man watched a little girl
push her doll’s pram
with determination up the steep path
at the side of her house,
it came to a stop at a step.

Not being aware of the laws of physics
that dictated she would have had to push
down on the handle
in order to continue her journey
the little girl bashed the pram
with its precious load against the step.

The man, seeing a role for himself,
strode over and bent down to help,
not being aware that until he came along
the problem was a relatively simple one.
