Recipe For Men
In saucepan melt butter, add men & chopped onion.
Fry on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add herbs, vegetables & garlic and fry men again for a further 2 minutes before removing from heat. Stir in flour and blend with fork. Return men to heat & slowly add broth, mixing with wire whisk until smooth.
Simmer on low heat, remove men when nearly tender but not mushy.
For the crust, stir baking powder, soda, egg & salt into flour & mix well with men. Gather men up,
place men into the refrigerator in a plastic bag for 10-15 minutes to rest.
Put cooled men into a deep dish casserole.
Brush top of men over with milk, cream or honey.
Sprinkle pepper on men.
Cover men with baking foil.
Bake men at 425°F for approximately 20-25 minutes or until you are satisfied you’ve achieved, crispy, golden brown men.
