Hugh Hefner & Keg Parties

I had a friend who said he once met Hugh Hefner.
To tell you the truth I think he just made the whole thing up so he would have something to say at parties.
He loved the way it seemed to hold people's attention.
He liked how their eyes lit up and they would circle around him in their half-drunk stupor. He told that story at every party I ever saw him at.
It never failed that as soon as the keg started to empty I knew it was time for the Hefner story.
I always thought he should have worn a smoking jacket and slippers to the parties, but he didn't.
He was always wearing  some rock concert t-shirt and jeans with a hole in one knee. He crossed his arms  and chain-moked Marlboros.
He always disappeared after he told his goofy story. I don’t know. Maybe he did meet Hefner. It really didn’t matter.
