iMay

i lay inside you
listening …
the washing machine and kettle are dreaming
the fridge shivers as
time falsely smiles under the impression it’s
a neon star
sixty seconds worth of fame

i spoon into your breathing
lullaby of life
you hold me close perhaps
to stop me from
falling
bull’s eye
into your avebury heart
yet still circled in a togetherness
and a scattering of spring flowers
i am the (drew-id) queen of may
of might be
of possiblity
