You asked me
about poems;
the ones that have say two words then one word a line and no real rhyme or rhythm that grabs you.
Let me explain…
The placing of each single word can affect its
importance
for the reader
because
the reader has to
pause.
Not two paws,
to pause,
to punctuate,
linger,
finger poised over the
thought of it.
And sometimes a silky mound of sound
catches him
unaware
he has to
stop
stare
language in the face,
wonder
about meaning.

Good poem. I especially liked the two paws interjection.
