I grip myself onto it.<br \/>\nWhen you blink, the inertia<br \/>\nsickens me. When you cry,<br \/>\nI am forced through floods of saline,<br \/>\ncrystals cut at my flesh.<\/p>\n<p>I am wedged between<br \/>\nthe crevices of your heels\u2019 hard skin.<br \/>\nYou hack at your nails, pick<br \/>\nat your feet and I thrust<br \/>\nout my arms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ian Walker<\/strong> is a poet and playwright based in Liverpool, a Creative Writing graduate from LJMU, an amateur entomologist, and avid collector of indoor plants.
