Praeger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Long Walks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now that the rains of August have passed<br \/>\nthere are the long walks into autumn,<br \/>\nthe even longer leavetakings with the dead,<br \/>\nthe ever lengthening shadows,<br \/>\nthe unimaginable apotheoses of late flowering plants,<br \/>\nthe off and on worrying over winter, over did I forget,<br \/>\nthe downward tendency to tomorrow,<br \/>\nand, for now, fictive inextricable solace in the now and then<br \/>\ndistant and haunting while, yet, indifferent<br \/>\nsound of a solitary and what might<br \/>\npossibly be<br \/>\nthe season&#8217;s last cricket.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frank C.
