In a cold bath, perhaps asleep,<\/span>
he looks as green as the tiles,<\/span>
as thin as the soap,<\/span>
and we can hear, beneath his soft breathing, <\/span>
words that sound like<\/span>
the things I\u2019d have whispered<\/span>
if your tongue was mine<\/span>
 <\/span>

on whose tongue, what things, <\/span>
or if he is even speaking at all.<\/span>
Old wives say <\/span>
a squid has grown inside him<\/span>
and now, with tender limbs,<\/span>
