Poems<\/span>


Matt Ryan told me to write a poem<\/span>
He said that it was to be written and turned in by Sunday night \u2013<\/span>
Emailed to his real email <\/span>
And put in an attachment<\/span>
 <\/span>
Single spaced, all poems are written single spaced<\/span>
He said it was to be three pages long<\/span>
Let\u2019s be real Matt Ryan <\/span>
I can\u2019t write a three page poem<\/span>
Let alone a poem that\u2019s a few lines long<\/span>
 <\/span>
NO USING BLAND LANGUAGE! <\/span>
Poems never use bland language<\/span>
Although it helps to have a built vocabulary<\/span>
I went to a public school in LA<\/span>
So my vocab was never properly built<\/span>
 <\/span>
And poems can\u2019t rhyme, rhyming is unoriginal <\/span>
And it\u2019s over rated anyways<\/span>
The only rhymes you should use are the internal ones <\/span>
I can\u2019t rhyme internally it\u2019s so hard to find the time<\/span>
 <\/span>
Also you have to have a good topic for your poem<\/span>
You can\u2019t write a poem on the Burr-Hamilton duel in 1804<\/span>
Or the difference between the word honor and honour<\/span>
 <\/span>
Poems are made of words-words you feel<\/span>
Poems are made to come from your mind and soul<\/span>
A poem is a container for these words <\/span>
When writing a poem you have to find the right shape<\/span>
If you don\u2019t find the right shape the words will fall on the floor<\/span>
Like alphabet soup <\/span>
 <\/span>
Good poems are usually written by good writers<\/span>
I\u2019m a terrible writer \u2013 That\u2019s why I\u2019m taking this class<\/span>
Maybe one day I\u2019ll get better at it <\/span>
