Trance<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n the whole<\/p>\n world<\/p>\n was traveling<\/p>\n yesterday<\/p>\n in a big boat<\/p>\n that couldn’t carry<\/p>\n a star<\/p>\n nor a grain<\/p>\n of sugar. the whole<\/p>\n world<\/p>\n still<\/p>\n couldn’t reach its room<\/p>\n before the piano<\/p>\n girl’s voice<\/p>\n by midnight<\/p>\n as of this morning<\/p>\n when the whole<\/p>\n world<\/p>\n needed a praise<\/p>\n to raise<\/p>\n it up<\/p>\n from its cold<\/p>\n body<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n David Ishaya Osu<\/strong> (b. 1991) is a Nigerian poet. His works have appeared in publications such as: Birmingham Arts Journal, Atlas Poetica: A Journal of World Tanka, Watershed Review, Ann Arbor Review, among numerous others. David is a board member of Babishai Niwe Poetry Foundation.
