\nThe Apocalypse has happened;
\nit has been as bad as it can be
\nso nobody\u2019s watching.
\nBut there is still TV.
\nRe-runs of old cop shows
\nin the wrong order
\nwith no continuity announcements.
\nThere is no need for continuity
\nafter an apocalypse.
\nI almost missed it.
\nI should have been sleeping
\nbut I got up in the early hours
\nfor a glass of water
\nand picked up the howling
\nof death as it stalked the neighbourhood.
\nI pulled back the curtain
\nto see the streets run with blood
\nwhile fires seemed to start
\nout of nowhere.
\nAs they do
\nwhen there is an apocalypse.
\nNow, few survivors dare venture outside.
\nAnd my years of hoarding tinned goods
\nand bottled water
\nturned out to be just the right thing.
\nAnd with the Apocalypse over
\nThere\u2019s not much to be done.
\nBut carry on
\nwith my usual schedule
\nthough the programmes
\nhave changed.<\/p>\n
