The winner<br \/>\nhad stopped to shuffle papers,<br \/>\ntick sheets, file forms.<\/p>\n<p>But I won, the first across the line,<br \/>\nprotested. No, you did not,<br \/>\nshe was told, for if it wasn\u2019t written,<br \/>\nit wasn\u2019t done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ross Wilson<\/strong>\u2019s pamphlet, <em>The Heavy Bag<\/em>, was published by Calder Wood Press.\u00a0 His poems have appeared in many magazines.
