On My Wick<\/span>
 <\/span>

Just sitting in your kitchen<\/span>
with coffee<\/span>
and knowing secretly that<\/span>
all these thoughts are mine.<\/span>
I mean they\u2019re all my own,<\/span>
no one else\u2019s,<\/span>
which is good<\/span>
and therefore<\/span>
must be immortalised and<\/span>
forever emblazoned and<\/span>
not allowed to be<\/span>
extinguished like<\/span>
sad old candles.<\/span>
These are the thoughts<\/span>
I have when<\/span>
you\u2019re still asleep,<\/span>
when you\u2019re not here<\/span>
and I\u2019m alone.<\/span>
And they are<\/span>
so big and heavy<\/span>
you\u2019d never believe.<\/span>
But I hide them<\/span>
when you wake,<\/span>
not just because<\/span>
they are mine<\/span>
but because they are<\/span>
everything<\/span>

Wine Drenched<\/span>
 <\/span>

Wine drenched<\/span>
Sky red<\/span>
The angels coming through stained<\/span>
 <\/span>
And you look like<\/span>
Death warmed up<\/span>
A readymeal from the microwave<\/span>
 <\/span>
Your face harbours<\/span>
Ugly expressions<\/span>
Slicing all the angels in the room<\/span>
 <\/span>
No wonder<\/span>
They have to leave<\/span>
You\u2019re sober, and that\u2019s why I hate you<\/span>
