Taxi Driver<\/span>
  <\/span>

I remember the train<\/span>
and the cab that I caught,<\/span>
the train because of the meal that I had,<\/span>
too many plates, the tiniest portions,<\/span>
the cab because of the driver I had.<\/span>
 <\/span>
I could see in the mirror his eye<\/span>
soar to the side of its socket,<\/span>
a hummingbird there<\/span>
ready to flutter into his skull.<\/span>
 <\/span>
From station to town,<\/span>
that hummingbird flew<\/span>
as I kept listening<\/span>
to its master extol<\/span>
the town\u2019s lone hotel.<\/span>
