the clock <\/span>
marks the hours <\/span>
wasted in trying <\/span>
to drift, catching sheep, fall asleep. <\/span>

Tick <\/span>
tock <\/span>
my mind <\/span>
won't let go <\/span>
of the things you said; <\/span>
you left me alone in my bed. <\/span>

Tick <\/span>
tock <\/span>
I creep <\/span>
through the house <\/span>
to find you sleeping <\/span>
curled up on the couch with the cat <\/span>

Tick <\/span>
tock <\/span>
I'll wait <\/span>
til morning, <\/span>
then pack your cases, <\/span>
and then the cat will sleep with me.<\/span>
