\nIt was amazing,
\ngiraffe and zebra
\nand those jumpy things
\nwe couldn\u2019t identify
\nso called them gazantelope.<\/p>\n
\nIt\u2019s like a prison
\nwith bars on the window
\nbut alright really \u2013
\ncold in the morning and evening,
\nhot at midday.
\nThe loo is in the shower.<\/p>\n
\nYes! I have a few bites
\nbut no sunburn.
\nTo be frank, I\u2019m not using
\nthe sun-cream or repellent.
\nIt\u2019s winter here,
\nthe kids are wearing jumpers.<\/p>\n
\nReally friendly and possessive \u2013
\nnot about things,
\nthey\u2019re happy playing with tyres,
\nabout wanting to be with mzungu.
\nThey cling to us.
\nI\u2019m teaching them about sharing.<\/p>\n
