\nBackwater pirate<\/p>\n
\nWhy does your candelabrum
\nCast so much strange light?<\/p>\n
\nThrough my neighbour’s back garden
\nIs actually mine<\/p>\n
\nCan only be seen by those
\nWearing blue glasses<\/p>\n
\nApproached me this afternoon
\nThough it was near dark<\/p>\n
\nTo be bigger than your dad,
\nQuicker than your mum<\/p>\n
\nBut I got lost in a fridge,
\nCame back out immune<\/p>\n
\nA sort of microcosm \u2013
\nI don\u2019t know what of<\/p>\n
\nThe whole sky cracks an egg,
\nUnboils itself<\/p>\n
\nReflecting my gloomy face
\nLike a bright idea<\/p>\n
\nMy eyes see camels ok
\nBut not other eyes<\/p>\n
\nAs the street cleaner at dawn,
\nSweeping up our lives<\/p>\n
\nSniffing round your bins again \u2013
\nWhat are you hiding?<\/p>\n
\nPerhaps I was too honest
\nRegarding their lies<\/p>\n
\nA naked businesswoman
\nLoses her job too<\/p>\n
\nRoadrunner making music
\nOn barbed harpsichords<\/p>\n
\nEnds by tumbling from a roof
\nWithout a pillow<\/p>\n
