That girl, more an idea.<\/p>\n<p>I remember how sweet it was, to share<br \/>\nyou with her, to only be<br \/>\nbetrayed. She gave you to others.<br \/>\nHigh school girls!<br \/>\nSylvia, you may have even laughed.<\/p>\n<p>Years since I\u2019ve touched that<br \/>\nknife, feeling your fingers over mine.<br \/>\nPoems, buried behind newer works. I<br \/>\ntry to remember outcomes, but<br \/>\nmemory and all that. Roman \u00e0 clef. It<\/p>\n<p>ends where you end.<br \/>\nI see that now. When I talk to<br \/>\nthat girl, I pretend I don\u2019t still love<br \/>\nher.
