\na metamorphosis<\/p>\n
\neffect \u2013 transparent glair
\nto white of egg in minutes.<\/p>\n
\non your plate
\n(you\u2019ll eat without<\/p>\n
\nhaving witnessed
\nthe coalface,<\/p>\n
\nin excoriating heat
\nto render it rare<\/p>\n
\nwill whisper
\nyour prayer for you.<\/p>\n
\nto its cast foundations,
\nthe frying pan<\/p>\n
\nfrom such meaningless
\nincantations.<\/p>\n
