\nIn the middle of a square,
\nStrumming a wooden guitar
\nThat will brittle soon.
\nVelvet poles are dazed,
\nA copper centaur listens
\nAnd the glimmer of distant houses
\nAre her thousand spotlights.
\nPerhaps this would be the last year
\nShe\u2019ll breathe the icy air
\nOr see the stars melt
\nAcross the silky sky.
\nLife is the tiny candle
\nFlaring beneath her face
\nBut tonight her music will reach –
\nThe edges of the winter moon.<\/p>\n
