Scrawling on skin<br \/>\nused to be the height of human intimacy and contact.<br \/>\nLast night I dreamt that I was working then meeting<br \/>\nwith friends, just noticing that I had spilt red wine down<br \/>\nthe front of my shirt and that above that heart-stain<br \/>\nyou had etched something &#8211; a word on my collarbone<br \/>\nthat I won\u2019t recall until tonight, when I close my eyes,<br \/>\nand then just before I can pluck it away it will be gone.<br \/>\nI just know it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kelly Creighton<\/strong> is a Belfast born poet and fiction writer with work in<em> Wordlegs, The Ranfurly Review, A New Ulster, Electric Windmill Press, Inkspill Magazine, Poetry24<\/em> and numerous other publications.
