The third day: sky lightens;<\/span>
daylight dries her eyes.<\/span>
A world of creatures<\/span>
creeps out from under,<\/span>
glossy-wet and new:<\/span>
big-winged butterflies;<\/span>
quick-stepping bugs;<\/span>
caterpillars, bursting-bright;<\/span>
a play-room palette<\/span>
of blues and yellows,<\/span>
ocean and emerald greens.<\/span>
Spotted ladybugs gossip,<\/span>
and neat silver spiders<\/span>
set about to spin;<\/span>
dragonfly shimmers<\/span>
and shakes out her wings<\/span>
like clean washing<\/span>
in the low-slung sun.<\/span>
