<\/span>I on the other hand<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">have to wait until the<br \/>\ncurtain opens,<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">until the queue works<br \/>\nits way to myself<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">and I can ask her<br \/>\nadvice, her counsel,<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">about my<br \/>\nmother-in-law, a woman with tongue<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">so sharp and viperous,<br \/>\neven tame snakes<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">slither away to be out<br \/>\nof harm&#39;s reach.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">How can my wife, so<br \/>\ndocile, so loving<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">have been birthed from<br \/>\nthe groins of this Grendel?&#39;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">Julian looks at me with<br \/>\neyes of jade green.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">I think they change<br \/>\ncolour as needs present.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">She just gazes, not a<br \/>\nword forthcoming.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">&#39;All at once I see my<br \/>\nwife&#39;s dear mother<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">bereft of her only<br \/>\ndaughter, the light <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">of her life giving all<br \/>\nher precious love<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">to someone else,<br \/>\nsomeone other than her,<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"2\"><span style=\"\">and that someone is<br \/>\nme.<span style=\"\">&nbsp;
