'White Christmas<\/span>'<\/span>
  <\/span>
<\/span>When the Christmas Eve snow silenced the traffic<\/span>
that screamed through our village,<\/span>
mother and I , stolen chocolate and<\/span>
frowning school report forgotten,<\/span>
trespassed with present opening thrill<\/span>
into the middle of the highway<\/span>
and thumbing our noses at the muzzled motors,<\/span>
danced with Isadora Duncan abandon,<\/span>
accompanied by  the wild flurry of an agitated snow globe.<\/span>
Then organic as a musical, I suddenly began to trill<\/span>
“I am the lord of the dance”;<\/span>
the gold of mother\u2019s How clever you are<\/span><\/span>
as if I\u2019d  spontaneously  composed<\/span>
the drilled piece from my school\u2019s repertoire.<\/span>
Catching the song, she and I sung and danced <\/span>
in the harmony of our own “White Christmas”<\/span>
