Since we\u2019ve met<\/strong><\/p>\n I think since we met I may have encouraged <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sarah Chapman<\/strong> is twenty-four years old, started writing poetry two years ago and lives and works in the rough part of London. \na small amount of nothingness
\nIt\u2019s not your fault, it went through you like
\ninvisible. You could be a mixture of girls
\nI\u2019ve only known through friends or the
\ntelly and even though you live in a shithole
\nYou arrive at parties looking fabulous.
\nWhat is your secret, your mysterious other
\nlife. Do you know so many that they are
\njust movies stills? I mean I roam around
\nat work with jumper marks in my face, all
\nbecause I slept on the couch again, If I slept
\non the couch through childhood I would be
\ninfernally bent legged by now and a serial
\nkiller in training.
\nI know marriage
\nwith you will
\nBe swerving the mundane traps that
\nOther couples fall into; that you plan
\nTo keep things spontaneous only by
\nThe way you see things but the pressure
\nOf you\u2019re marvelous river filled brain
\nmakes me distant because you can find
\nanother person at a gallery opening.
\nbut even the voice of the policeman
\nwas soft and you knew not
\nmuch could be done, it
\nis not because I want it perfectly
\nit is because I want it clean,
\neven playing field so that the
\ntime we seriously considered
\nbuying tropical fish,
\nsomething happened.<\/p>\n
