Albert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flora the\u00a0Poet\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inksweatandtears.co.uk\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/flora.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"flora\" src=\"https:\/\/inksweatandtears.co.uk\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/flora.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"518\" height=\"781\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Roundling time\u00a0when<\/p>\n<p>days were young and she<\/p>\n<p>grew\u00a0younger \u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>Flora<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>who dressed in blossoms<\/p>\n<p>of the seasons:<\/p>\n<p>poinsettia, pansy, honeydew and rose,<\/p>\n<p>whose dewy topiary hair was adorned<\/p>\n<p>with watermelon-colored dumplings and her face<\/p>\n<p>painted mountain ochre, berry purple,<\/p>\n<p>aster magenta \u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>Flora<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>whose divided selves protected<\/p>\n<p>between layers of bark<\/p>\n<p>the hider, the open eye-<\/p>\n<p>der who saw beyond<\/p>\n<p>what be \u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>Flora<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>whose magic ears recorded Roundling<\/p>\n<p>stories, once upon another layers<\/p>\n<p>of relations, loves echoed, baby round<\/p>\n<p>to aged circles with no owners,<\/p>\n<p>all sharing terra \u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>Flora<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>who etched day<\/p>\n<p>long hoopy orbs, upside down orations, oval<\/p>\n<p>invocations\u00a0and endless ooooo&#8217;s \u2013<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The last of her poems was discovered<\/p>\n<p>inside a mulberry tree\u00a0dying<\/p>\n<p>in a deserted Tibetan valley.<\/p>\n<p>It was penned in ink\u00a0onto an Oho tablet:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>wndrus think sef wink pink pieces<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>togeth heven languae<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>through it all fallen<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>inta noon gloon<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>we wheeled way from grids<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>ta live&#8217;n leaf branch&#8217;n limb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>sleep unda ta wings<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>de katydid hid\u00a0neath sleep lids<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>beams o dusta bendi<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>gras trunks o<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>wiz&#8217;n branc\u00a0yond<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>wisper criks&#8217;n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>dawners bentwigs<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>thimpin jus twing<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>lukin beyon beehind<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>otherness liftid<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>ta farness<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>C.
