Woods<\/span>

Sliding through arches<\/span>
of elms sunshine<\/span>
yellow and warm as honey.<\/span>
Moss crawls over mudstone<\/span>
while squirrels skip <\/span>
around tree stumps.<\/span>
Imagine to be a sea gull<\/span>
in blue wind pushing<\/span>
air through your wing.<\/span>
After the long rain<\/span>
pine trees bending<\/span>
with cones.<\/span>
Branches etch evening sky<\/span>
turning razzle dazzle<\/span>
purple red citron.<\/span>
Leaves drop like butterflies<\/span>
filling the floor of forest<\/span>
with crunchy foliage<\/span>
See this snowy storm of<\/span>
light quickly quietly<\/span>
covering our moon tonight.<\/span>
Long winters keep<\/span>
greatcoats of frost<\/span>
wrapped around our woods. <\/span>
