Home Remedy for a Broken Heart<\/span>

She downed one bottle of Sauvignon,\u2028<\/span>
took two double shots of  vodka,\u2028<\/span>
then gulped back three small G and Ts.<\/span>
Four Bloody Marys and her hair smelled of sick<\/span>
but five flaming sambucas blurred <\/span>
her tastebuds and six cosmopolitans <\/span>
had her giggling men, sex \u2013 and Basstardss! \u2028<\/span>
Seven something else broke her new heels.<\/span>
\u2028Ate, sorry, she meant eight, \u2028<\/span>
arms helped tumble her to a taxi. <\/span>
Nine, no ten \u2013 or was it eleven? \u2013 <\/span>
\u2028fingers swayed in front of her, then slumped\u2028<\/span>
in her lap. Were there more on her back?<\/span>
And what was that on her face?<\/span>
Darkness. Twelve heads on a pillow,<\/span>
clamped in a vice then swung.\u2028<\/span>
Thirteen minutes, maybe, of forgetting\u2028<\/span>
before the cure wore off.<\/span>
