Plague<\/span>

It came<\/span>
   little hands<\/span>
   little eyes<\/span>
   little feet<\/span>
the tiny dragon<\/span>
in dreams <\/span>

it grew wings<\/span>

breathed fire<\/span>
   green scales<\/span>
coming with the moon<\/span>

my dream<\/span>
more than the fog<\/span>
   <\/span>
carries the dead<\/span>
wherever they go.<\/span>




Biosphere<\/span>

Inside<\/span>
it rains<\/span>
sweat off the brow<\/span>
forming clouds<\/span>
and rain again<\/span>
     butterflies cluster<\/span>
     in dust<\/span>
elephants gather at<\/span>
watering holes<\/span>
           the sun     the sun<\/span>
persistent deity<\/span>
always the sun\u2014<\/span>

it rains<\/span>
it always rains<\/span>
heat rises<\/span>
and falls as rain.<\/span>
