\nis ticket ink,
\nand small talk-
\nthat tiny it
\ntinkles on your fingertips
\nreminding you to smile<\/p>\n
\nand sleep till needed,
\ncurled up shy and hesitant.
\nThey call themselves ideas
\nas they like to change their mind.
\nThey feel ‘renegue’
\nsounds too pretentious<\/p>\n
\na forgotten Smurf
\nbalances his tilted chequebook.
\nSeeks solace inside a lost woolly scarf.
\nBlue hat poking the threads
\nhoping to be found<\/p>\n
\nthrough the Brogues of older ladies
\nand balanced on the buggies of
\nskint young mums
\naccents as broad as their laps<\/p>\n
\non to soles of \u00a0the congregations shoes,
\nweary from a ride
\nwhere a dismount occurs
\nbefore their journey ends<\/p>\n
