Urban shepherdesses of SW3<\/span>
(too genteel for country matters)<\/span>
try on flower-print smocks<\/span>
in the changing rooms<\/span>
of Laura Ashley.<\/span>
 <\/span>
The glare of the lights in the room full of mirrors<\/span>
does not spare their bare flesh, but they don\u2019t care<\/span>
they are too genteel for tits and bums. They are fashionably skinny<\/span>
not at all like Mr Holman Hunt\u2019s shepherdess, whose clothes <\/span>
they would like to wear.<\/span>
 <\/span>
Hermione is knee deep in peasant frocks<\/span>
she can\u2019t decide. The pink. The green. The blue.<\/span>
The flowers, the sprigs, the paisley hue. The looking-glasses<\/span>
are full of the reflections of other Hermiones. Hermione can\u2019t tell<\/span>
where she stops and someone else begins.<\/span>
