Dear Samaritans, I\u2019m writing this to let you know <\/span>
that everything\u2019s ok now<\/span>
 <\/span>
The last time we spoke <\/span>
 <\/span>
I was smearing the red flag <\/span>
of myself around the tub; <\/span>
 <\/span>
the bottle & knife clinking <\/span>
 <\/span>
in my hand. I mentioned <\/span>
that since I was a child <\/span>
 <\/span>
I have been narrowing<\/span>
 <\/span>
all the questions in the world <\/span>
to matches, striking them <\/span>
 <\/span>
against my skull, I don\u2019t know <\/span>
 <\/span>
how I felt nothing so utterly.<\/span>
I\u2019ve learnt patience,<\/span>
 <\/span>
not everything has to wisp <\/span>
 <\/span>
from my fingers. There is a priest <\/span>
who prays for me; they fly <\/span>
 <\/span>
off his knuckles & hang in the air, <\/span>
 <\/span>
their feathers line <\/span>
my pillow. If he could see <\/span>
 <\/span>
these gaping white smiles <\/span>
 <\/span>
on my arm, if he could taste <\/span>
the dreams that shear my sleep, <\/span>
 <\/span>
he\u2019d understand; God sees me <\/span>
 <\/span>
as a tiny pink coffin, wandering <\/span>
from place to place, waiting <\/span>
 <\/span>
to fall into the open earth. <\/span>
