We stumbled over the spelling,<\/span>
of those robotic syllables. We argued<\/span>
merrily, making fun of where the \u2018R\u2019 <\/span>
and the \u2018h\u2019 go, being silly, a good<\/span>
sign, the beginning of something<\/span>
other than Rhododendron. The early<\/span>
September evening spoke of autumn: <\/span>
gloomy and quickly cold, we walked<\/span>
close together, blossoming perhaps, <\/span>
laughing as summer slipped away.<\/span>
