I swallowed the seeds and core.<\/p>\n

Do strawberry men feel vulnerable
\nwearing their seeds on the outside?<\/p>\n

I swept the playground with a tree branch.
\nBoys chased me; I fell and skinned my knees.<\/p>\n

At snack time, we had graham crackers and milk
\nthen took a nap.<\/p>\n

I wore a tight slip to flatten the symbols
\nrising on my chest.<\/p>\n

The first boy who grabbed at them
\nforgot I was his friend.<\/p>\n

Blood oranges have blemishes,
\nother changes no one warned me about.<\/p>\n

I wanted the blood to stop.<\/p>\n
