It\u2019s stupid to argue about why I waste <\/span>
food and why you spent your childhood <\/span>
licking plates. Now I\u2019m sulking in the bathroom <\/span>
staring at rust on the radiator, listening <\/span>
for your careful voice outside the door. <\/span>
Everything in here orbits my ridiculous  <\/span>
mood: damp towels, that last scrap of <\/span>
toilet paper I salvaged from the bin, <\/span>
a small mirror smudged with cocaine. <\/span>
I know that when I come out you will <\/span>
look at me and I will try to stay angry<\/span>
but laughter will play out of my mouth <\/span>
and laughter will play out of your mouth <\/span>
and we will dance to the beat of tongues <\/span>
apologising at the same time; I know this, <\/span>
I know this and I hold it for a little while <\/span>
like a silver cross or our first scan picture<\/span>
in this tiny bathroom, in this bastard town<\/span>
on a Tuesday lunchtime threatening to rain.<\/span>
