Blackwork<\/span>

A type of embroidery which dates from the sixteenth century<\/span>


A broken heart<\/span>
Backstitched on a linen sleeve in black;<\/span>
The dye corroded, like my love, the threads <\/span>
Which held us worn away. You take your leave. <\/span>

You take your leave.<\/span>
I count the weary days in lengths of crewel,<\/span>
Blossom withers on my bodice, dies.<\/span>
I spin a gauze in blue, to match your eyes. <\/span>

To match your eyes<\/span>
To mine again, I\u2019d give my own; what need<\/span>
Have I of sight without you in my weave?<\/span>
In my grief, the rose gives up the ghost. <\/span>

Give up the ghost,<\/span>
Devastated soul, and sing http:\/\/www.flomaxbuyonline.com<\/a> your last.<\/span>
No fairings will he bring to show his love;<\/span>
A black cockade I\u2019ll wear above my heart. <\/span>
