Primavera<\/span>

My favourite tea shop girl<\/span>
Has a hooked nose, a dirty laugh<\/span>
I'm trying to fathom Heidegger<\/span>
What is is?<\/span>
The butter-split cherry scone<\/span>
Sugar-dusted<\/span>
Later sitting with peach iced tea<\/span>
Eyeing legs, bags , Selfridges, Next<\/span>
Spring tarts, fruit flavours<\/span>
This morning the first wasp<\/span>
Dozed through the kitchen window<\/span>
I load apricot jam on the knife<\/span>
With trepidation<\/span>

Camouflage Caravans<\/span>

Pale blue would waver in spring's breeze;<\/span>
grass-green guard, with jealousy, lush pastures;<\/span>
chocolate brown stick fast in squelching mud;<\/span>
prickly pebbledash skitter by shingle beach;<\/span>
matt primrose nestle in sand dunes;<\/span>
whereas unrelenting grey-white merely seem<\/span>
to stretch mile on Mile on MILE on M1.<\/span>

frog crossing road to mate
adult poem –  making love – premature ejaculation<\/p>\n

*Stephen Pain<\/span> is a zoosemiotician based in Denmark. He has written poetry over a period of time and has had poetry published in hardcopy and on the internet. If he were to describe the school or genre of poetry he belongs to – it would have to be the maverick  i.e. crossing over borders.
