Here I stand <\/span>
in the middle of a river bed<\/span>
forty million years deep.  <\/span>
This land that is owned<\/span>
and not owned<\/span>
in ten minutes<\/span>
owns me.<\/span>
The land doesn\u2019t need me <\/span>
but the river\u2019s hands <\/span>
hold my feet.<\/span>
The heart of the land is red.<\/span>
The mouth of the land opens.<\/span>
