She has been published numerous times in various journals and magazines, including Brittle Star<\/em>, Confluence <\/em>and Scrittura<\/em>. \nsteadily; beep, beep, beep.<\/p>\n
\nAt first on screen it was like looking at you from above
\nin a bathtub,
\nthen you simply slept on your face like your father,
\nrefusing to move, despite star jumps.<\/p>\n
\nyou materialised in and out of existence,
\narms, no arms, legs, no legs,
\nI was hoping to see a member
\nor the absence of one
\nto gauge your secrets and gain an even field.<\/p>\n
\nI\u2019d like to think that\u2019s what you\u2019ll always be to me,
\nbut I must warn you,
\npeople here are static and tired and almost
\nalways not magical.<\/p>\n
\nThey might as well show me my brain
\nwith all its junk and hopes
\nor my heart, where you also live.
\nAs I lie in pain, give up on sleep,
\nget up and write this,
\nwith what\u2019s left of my boldness I think I would do this,
\na thousand times, again.<\/p>\n
