\nmore sea bass than marlin. No destination.
\nWe were testing freedom, heading out<\/p>\n
\nbuzzed tree crowns and farm buildings
\nand tore away, stitching trails
\nacross our temporary portion of sky.<\/p>\n
\nwith such chunky accuracy? The bright cold,
\nthe leather seats with their rigid stitching,
\na car sick feeling of time\u2019s vertigo.<\/p>\n
\nthat our time was nearly spent. We stopped
\nby a limestone column, topped with a pineapple
\nan eminent Victorian\u2019s idea of grandeur,<\/p>\n
\nfingers meeting. A cord of vapour, dwindling.
\nDays lie sealed, evaporate when retrieved
\nand you stand by, breathing as they fade.<\/p>\n
