The way it seems to stand<br \/>\nlike a pillar of a Greek Temple that outlasts<br \/>\nthe walls or ceilings as if it was always meant to<br \/>\nto hold up the sky. And so, too, must you stand<br \/>\nas awe drives a pool into your chest deep enough<br \/>\nthat a group of teens might hold hands and jump<br \/>\ninto it one crisp spring morning. You try to imagine<br \/>\na beginning. The river, a child lost in a supermarket,<br \/>\nturning, looking, afraid. The booming Tannoy announcement<br \/>\nof gravity gifting a way out \u2013 down. You imagine a beginning,<br \/>\nhow that first drop must have been a team building exercise.<br \/>\nThe water falling, shining, vulnerable. Trusting the ground,<br \/>\nits moss and earth and rock to take it\u2019s weight. All of it, forever.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joshua Judson<\/strong> is a poet and editor from Nottingham.
