Radio low.<br \/>\nI rarely feel my hackles rise<br \/>\nat my desk, or in Tescos, but here,<\/p>\n<p>a flicker creeps into my peripheral vision &#8211;<br \/>\nfire on black &#8211; a comet\u2019s trail, then<br \/>\na head that oscillates; her upturned snout.<br \/>\nI switch the radio off. Watch from above.<\/p>\n<p>She paws the tarmac, bows to me \u2013 but no,<br \/>\nslides her jaws around a roadkill squirrel<br \/>\nindistinguishable except for its compressed plume tail.<br \/>\nSlinks off to where the foxes go.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Wimbush<\/strong> comes from Doncaster and now lives in Leeds.
