{"id":18195,"date":"2019-01-19T08:00:59","date_gmt":"2019-01-19T08:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ink.verticalplus.co.uk\/archive\/?p=18195"},"modified":"2020-12-09T15:46:00","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T15:46:00","slug":"alison-binney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inksweatandtears.co.uk\/archive\/alison-binney\/","title":{"rendered":"Alison Binney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>#WhyIDidntReportIt<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nAll he was doing was standing alone in the pool,<br \/>\nspreading his arms out the width of the double lane,<br \/>\njust looking,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was taking the point you\u2019d just made,<br \/>\nmaking it over again to the rest of the team,<br \/>\njust helping,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was having a bit of a laugh,<br \/>\ncatching the eyes of his mates as he cracked out the gags,<br \/>\njust joking,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was penning his piece for the<em> Mail<\/em>,<br \/>\ntaking a pop at the PM\u2019s penchant for high heels,<br \/>\njust teasing,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was pressing his thigh against yours,<br \/>\nnudging it closer the further you moved yours away,<br \/>\njust stretching,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was telling you how hot you were,<br \/>\nyelling it out of his car as you waited to cross,<br \/>\njust saying,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was walking you back from the pub,<br \/>\nslipping his hand down the back of your favourite jeans,<br \/>\njust flirting,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was showing you how much he cared,<br \/>\nstopping your mouth with his arm when you started to scream,<br \/>\njust fooling,<\/p>\n<p>all he was doing was shielding a friend from the mob,<br \/>\nurging his nation to think of its husbands and sons,<br \/>\njust tweeting,<\/p>\n<p><em>I have no doubt that, if the attack was as bad as she says,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>charges would have been immediately filed by either her<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 or her loving parents<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Alison Binney<\/strong> teaches English\u00a0 in a secondary school and also works on the PGCE English Course at the University of Cambridge.
