And suddenly, we\u2019re all artists – <\/span>
a Brueghel of dark against the heavy white,<\/span>

refashioning ourselves in monochrome. <\/span>
Polar bears squat the fir trees. <\/span>

Londoners loved up in this foam <\/span>
disco. And I\u2019ve had my fight for today.<\/span>

It Is Not True<\/span>

that I sent the twins to school<\/span>
in the same unwashed blouses all week,<\/span>
that they had Weetabix for tea<\/span>
every night in paper bowls,<\/span>
that either Christine or Julie made me<\/span>
a pot of coffee in bed every day,<\/span>
that either Christine or Julie cycled<\/span>
to the paper shop every morning to buy my Hello,<\/span>
that Christine dusted and Julie hoovered after school.<\/span>
It is not true that I can\u2019t tell them apart.<\/span>
